Natalie Waldie

Program Manager, BAE Systems

Natalie is the Program Manager for autonomy development programs at BAE Systems, including partnerships with academia, in-house product development, as well as the Ghost Bat autonomous aircraft program in partnership with Boeing Defence Australia.

Natalie Waldie spent 2 years with The Boston Consulting Group, before joining BAE Systems in 2002 as a Systems Engineer. She worked on the Nulka hovering rocket decoy in various analysis, simulation, then team lead roles. In 2007 Natalie undertook a 2 year secondment to Lockheed Martin in the USA to support Nulka sea-trials.

On return to Australia, Natalie took up an engineering management role on Nulka, before moving into Project Management for missile programs. She then took a Program Management role for a diverse portfolio of defence sustainment projects, including submarine periscopes, satellite communications, armored vehicles, and a range of mission critical defence software and hardware products. Prior to her current role, Natalie was responsible for BAE Systems’ in-house manufacturing team, and electronic warfare portfolio.

Natalie has a double degree in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has 2 children, and is a keen runner and volunteer leader with Girl Guides Australia.
