BAE Systems Australia is building a world class autonomy business unit around new platforms, products and a vehicle management system that underpins platforms currently being tested by the Royal Australian Air Force and the Australian Army.
Yet, ironically, it is the role of the people inside and outside of these activities to develop uncrewed military platforms that will determine whether this capability can be successfully deployed in combat.
BAE Systems Australia will outline the importance of four key areas that are critical to future advances in the autonomous systems sector and its application to military capability: collaboration with industry and selected supply chain partners; academia and researchers in government agencies; the role played by a customer; and working partnerships with international colleagues developing similar capabilities.
